I have always been very particular about my earphones. Since the day I owned a Sony Walkman when I was 11, I have been a great believer of Sony earphones. No others have swayed my preference. So today when my 3 year old Sony earphones lost audio on one side I was most upset. Went to the shop across from work and could not find the model to replace the one I had. Even though I have a spare at home, actually more than one, I have the Bose (which I don't like) and the Sony which did not quite match up to the current one that broke. What did I do? I felt that maybe I should be brave and embrace new technology and mentality and thus I purchased the Koss. Even 'What-HiFi' was raving about Koss earphones so I thought I can't go wrong. $79.95 later I am not convinced. So I came home and compared all 3 that I now possess. I must say, price aside, I would rate:No. 1 - Sony MDR-E931No. 2 - Koss KE29ENo. 3 - Bose In-Ear HeadphonesSo it goes to show that sometimes what we pay aren't necessarily for the quality but more for the brand. I am upset that the Koss did not provide twice the listening pleasure of that of Sony!

I can't wait to get this! It has 86 songs of master recordings! If only I had a PS3, I can then download the extra songs online. Can you imagine the songs from the entire Metallica Death Magnetic album can be downloaded for $2 each. Too bad I only have the slimline PS2.

I love this, plays music, videos and my favoutrite word game.

I had to buy this coz it is so cute, and actually WORKS! You plug your guitar in and voila! It's a mini amp that runs on either battery or AC adapter. Marshall MS4, cutest thing at 25cm tall.

So at work, I was given an award for my contribution and work for Q1 2008. I was 1 out of 2 who got the award and they gave me $150.00 Myers shopping voucher. I never thought I was ever gonna buy this game, but Ivan (who actually plays real guitar) tells me it is great fun and I should consider buying this game. So I thought why not, it will be free and it can be my new toy. Alright, I've been sold! I shall go pick it up tomorrow night in Chatswood. Well at least now I will have 4 games for my PS2!

Epiphone Les Paul Standard

Oh yes, my long awaited for baby has arrived! It reached my office yesterday morning and I managed to keep a very low profile so that no one knew that I bought a guitar. Had to refrain myself from picking it up throughout the day to tune and to play it because I hate to bring attention to myself. Got home and ooolala, I love it!!!!!!!!!! It has got some great sound and feels good. I must admit I like it better than my Strat but H the Fender and Music Man Fan has a different view to me. Not bad for only AUD$600, cheap-ass compared to a Gibson, but it'll do for me. I only play to myself and for myself. AWESOME!

I still want my very affordable Les Paul Std. But I am not even a good guitar player (can't ever do it for survival) but I own a Strat copy (from a special friend who is angry with me at the moment), Fender Strat, Ibanez Acoustic, Ibanez Arch Top, classical guitar, so is getting this Les Paul too much? Is it ridiculous? I just like to collect them and of course play them when I feel like it. All the affordable ones and a selection to suit my fancy. Actually, I don't think there is anything wrong with it.

Ozzy Osbourne Concert 18 March 08

Wow, my last blog was on 20th January 08, it just goes to show that I have been so busy and occupied with so many things in my life I have no time to blog. In fact, 20th January was even before I moved to my new place here. Yes, things sure have been hectic.

The Ozzy concert was AWESOME! I caught a train out to Olympic Park where I saw loads and loads of weirdos and druggies. People behind us in the concert was doing drugs too. Nevertheless, I enjoyed myself. The opening act was some unknown from U.S, a Sepultura-like kind of band which got my ears ringing big time before Ozzy even came on. Zakk Wylde was great! His massive arms and muscles banging and trashing his axe like no tomorrow. It is amazing how Ozzy at this age can still do what he has been doing all these years. He still sings well, runs around and oh, did I mention that 10 mins into his intro he mooned the audience? Haha, he is such a crack-up. He also did a spoof/rude popular T.V series trailers of Entourage, The Office, The Sopranos, Lost etc which included him pouring a jug of milk down this booby lady and burying his face in her tits and squatting in the office crapping just to name a few. This is such entertainment! Unfortunately, there were some middle-aged died hard fans who brought their little boys to the concert who have to explain to the young ones the infamous Osbourne antics and how it was only meant to be entertainment. If they care to, that is.

Ears still ringing, I had to start work at 9am the next day. Pity I did not get tickets to go watch Kiss, Duran Duran (again) and Ratt. Then again, I had no one to go with me.
